Lady Vikes Split Road and Home Matches After Bye Week

Lady Vikes Split Road and Home Matches After Bye Week

Coming off a win versus the Wenatchee Valley Knights the previous Friday, the Lady Vikes seemed to make the most of their bye week as they traveled to Pendleton, Oregon, to face off against the Blue Mountain Community College Timberwolves.

After dropping the first set 25–21, the Lady Vikes bounced back strong, taking the next three sets by scores of 25–23, 25–18, and 25–21 to secure a 3–1 match victory. Charley Utley and Oaklee Woosley led the offensive charge with 13 kills apiece, while Trinity Dotson added 10 of her own. Eden Marlett directed the attack efficiently, leading the team with 39 assists to help facilitate the win.

BBCC faced a quick turnaround the following night, hosting the Treasure Valley Community College Chukars at the DeVries Activity Center. Coming off a late night in Pendleton, the Lady Vikes struggled to find their rhythm against the undefeated, top-seeded Chukars. BBCC dropped the first set 25–7, followed by 25–14 and 25–16 losses, resulting in a 3–0 sweep.

With limited offensive production, Woosley and Utley once again paced the Lady Vikes, each recording four kills.

BBCC now looks ahead to their next matchup as they host the Yakima Valley College Yaks on Wednesday, October 22, at 6 p.m.
