MOSES LAKE — Big Bend volleyball lost to Spokane in three sets on Wednesday, 19-25, 17-25, 19-25. The Vikings move to 16-11, 6-6 in region play on the season.
The Vikings opened up a lead in the first set early. Spokane fought back to even the set midway through before retaking the lead. The visitors were able to make a run late to pull away and take a one-set lead.
The second set went toe-to-toe for most of the way early on. Both sides traded leads before the Sasquatch were able to again pull away late in the set to take the 2-0 set lead.
Spokane found the lead early in the third set, but the Vikings were able to pull within a pair late. The comeback came up short as the Sasquatch were able to make a run late to take the third set and the match.
Payson Griner led the Vikings with 10 kills, while Brynn McKnight was close behind with nine. Martina Wilder and Madison Shrope each had 13 assists. Dakota Egbert led the way with nine digs for Big Bend.
