MOSES LAKE — Big Bend volleyball picked up a win on Wednesday against Columbia Basin at home in four sets, 21-25, 25-22, 25-19, 25-23. The Vikings move to 14-8 on the season and 4-3 in conference play.
The first set went back and forth for most of the way, with Big Bend surrendering a lead late, as the Hawks were slowly able to pull away with the set victory to take a 1-0 lead.
The second set saw CBC jump out to a big lead early on, leading by as much as 12-5. The Vikings were able to claw their way back and pull ahead in the end to even the match by a narrow margin.
Big Bend managed to stay just ahead through most of the third set, in another back and forth battle between the two teams. The Vikings gave themselves some breathing room late in the set as they pulled away to take a 2-1 lead into the fourth set.
