MOSES LAKE — "Stay in the game!" Big Bend head coach Michael De Hoog shouted from the sideline.

The Vikings, up two sets to none, had fallen behind by seven points early in the third. Slowly but surely, Wenatchee Valley's lead shrunk and Big Bend completed the sweep 25-17, 25-14, 26-24.

"We just needed to execute and put it all together. We were having good passes and then not putting the ball away and then not having good passes, so I think when we put it all together it really played in our favor and then we had that good run at the end," sophomore Sadie Nielsen said.

The Vikings improved to 2-1 in the NWAC East and 12-5 overall — more wins than their last two seasons combined.
