Big Bend Community College will welcome two local wrestling clubs into the Peter DeVries Center on Saturday, Nov. 2nd to help give them some exposure to the local community, and to get a look at the Viking program.

The Moses Lake and Othello wrestling clubs, who feature athletes from Kindergarten through eighth grades, will take to the mat to showcase their skills beginning at 4 p.m. The two teams will be followed by some intrasquad action from the BBCC wrestlers.

"Everyone in the wrestling community always says that we need to showcase these young wrestlers," said Big Bend Head Men's Wrestling Coach Jose Tanguma. "We thought it would be a great idea to have them come out wrestle, get some exposure, and also to let them know about our program here at the college. It should be a lot of fun and we hope to have a good crowd."

Coach Tanguma said there will not be an entry fee for the event, but that the team would be accepting "donations" at the door. All of those proceeds will go towards wrestling scholarships.
