Lady Vikings Extend Winning Streak with Road Victory at Treasure Valley
Currently riding a four-game winning streak, the Big Bend Lady Vikings traveled to Ontario, Oregon, to face off against Treasure Valley Community College and continued their strong run with a 63–54 road victory.
The Lady Vikings came out firing early, jumping out to a 14–7 lead after the first quarter. Defensive pressure and efficient scoring allowed BBCC to maintain control through the second period, heading into halftime with a 28–25 advantage.
The third quarter proved to be a tightly contested battle, with both teams trading baskets. Big Bend stayed composed and managed to extend its lead to four points heading into the final frame. From there, the Lady Vikings closed the door with a strong fourth-quarter performance, executing on both ends of the floor to secure the nine-point win.
Brooke Warren led the way for BBCC, scoring 19 points and pulling down six rebounds on an impressive 8-for-12 shooting night. Oaklie Jackman followed with a double-double effort, finishing with 17 points and nine rebounds, while Kaliyah Evans chipped in 12 points to round out a balanced offensive attack.
With the victory, the Lady Vikings improve to 8–1 in conference play. BBCC now turns its attention to hosting Columbia Basin College, as the Lady Vikings look to respond after suffering their lone conference loss to CBC earlier this season.
