Lady Vikings Finish Season Strong with Offensive Explosion in Finale

The Lady Vikings hit the road for their final four games of the 2026 season, beginning their Oregon road trip Friday in Pendleton to take on the Blue Mountain Community College Timberwolves.

Game one of the four-game stretch proved to be a difficult opener for BBCC as the Timberwolves powered their way to a 9-1 victory. The lone Lady Viking run came off the bat of Mady Morris, who launched a solo home run. Blue Mountain's offense was tough to contain throughout the contest, blasting four home runs against Viking pitching in the opener.

The Lady Vikings showed more life offensively in game two, but the Timberwolves once again came away victorious by a score of 12-6. Kayla Anthony, Dakota Brown, Shanoah Spear, and Genesis Ozuna all recorded multi-hit performances in the loss, while Spear and Ozuna each connected on home runs.

The Lady Vikings then traveled to Ontario, Oregon for their final two games of the season against Treasure Valley Community College. Game one turned into a back-and-forth battle, but a seven-run fourth inning from the Chukars proved to be too much for BBCC to overcome as the Vikings fell 10-9.

Morris continued her strong weekend performance by going 3-for-4 with four RBIs, including another home run, while Brown finished 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a homer of her own.

Determined to end the 2026 campaign on a high note, the Lady Vikings responded with their best offensive showing of the season in the finale. BBCC erupted for 15 runs and outlasted Treasure Valley in a wild 15-12 victory to close out the year.

Peyton Trautman delivered her best performance of the season, going a perfect 5-for-5 with five RBIs and a home run. Brown capped off an incredible day at the plate by smashing three home runs and driving in six RBIs to help power the Lady Vikings to the season-ending win.

The victory provided a memorable finish to the 2026 season as the Lady Vikings closed the year battling until the final out.
