Vikings Snap Four-Game Skid with Dominant 85-63 Win Over Columbia Basin

Hoping to Snap a Four-Game Losing Streak, BBCC Hosts Columbia Basin Hawks at the DeVries Activity Center

Hoping to snap a four-game losing streak, BBCC hosted the Columbia Basin Hawks on Wednesday, February 11th, at the DeVries Activity Center in Moses Lake — and delivered a statement performance from start to finish.

The Vikings came out flying in the opening half, setting the tone early with blistering offensive efficiency. BBCC shot an impressive 63% from the field in the first 20 minutes, including 54% from beyond the arc. Their sharp shooting allowed them to build momentum quickly and keep the Hawks on their heels.

It wasn't just the offense clicking. The Vikings locked in defensively, holding Columbia Basin to just 37% shooting in the first half. BBCC controlled the tempo on both ends of the floor, contesting shots, cleaning up rebounds, and converting opportunities in transition.

With everything going their way, the Vikings headed into the locker room with a commanding 45-26 lead.

Determined to close the door in the second half, BBCC maintained its intensity. The Vikings shot 59% from the floor after the break and continued to stretch the defense, knocking down 46% of their three-point attempts. Once again, their defense held firm, limiting the Hawks to 37% shooting for the half.

BBCC never let Columbia Basin threaten, sprinting through the finish line to secure an 85-63 victory — a much-needed win to halt their four-game skid.

Jakari Singleton led the charge for the Vikings, pouring in 20 points on an efficient 7-of-9 shooting performance. Miguel Taylor added 14 points of his own, providing a steady scoring presence as BBCC kept its foot on the gas throughout the night.

With renewed momentum, the Vikings now turn their attention to a road test this Saturday as they travel to Pendleton, Oregon, to face the Timberwolves.
