Big Bend Community College kicked off a three-game weekend with a Friday matchup against the Green River Gators on November 21st, playing one game per day through Sunday. The opener proved to be a nailbiter from start to finish. BBCC carried a narrow 30–29 lead into halftime, but the Gators clawed back late and edged out a 59–57 victory.
Sugar Eaton led the Vikings with 15 points on 5-of-11 shooting, while Miguel Taylor anchored the interior with 11 rebounds.
The Vikings responded in a big way on Saturday against Clark Community College, firing on all cylinders in what became their strongest performance of the weekend. BBCC secured an 89–74 win behind an incredible outing from Eaton, who went 10-for-11 from the field and finished with 26 points. Jakari Singleton, Lorenzo Contreras, Dominik Wojna, and Taylor also reached double figures, giving the Vikings a balanced and explosive offensive showing.
Looking to close out the weekend with a winning record, BBCC faced Centralia Community College on Sunday. The teams were deadlocked at 35 apiece at halftime, but Centralia pulled away in the late minutes, handing the Vikings a 70–61 loss. Eaton once again led the scoring effort with 16 points on 50% shooting, while Taylor came close to a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds.
After the 1–2 weekend, Big Bend sits at 3–3 on the season and now prepares for the Skagit Valley Community College Tournament, where they will play one game each day from Friday through Sunday.
