MOSES LAKE- After a rough start to the season, the young Big Bend men's basketball team has finally found its stride. The Big Bend Vikings have won five of the last six games after beating Grays Harbor 82-69 on Friday. This marks the Vikings at a 7-5 record.
The men's team has spent a lot of time on the road so far this season with eight of their twelve games so far either being away games or games at a neutral location. After stumbling out to a 2-4 record while the women's team sprinted to a 5-1 start the men's team appeared to be lost in the shuffle.
That's no longer the case as first-year head coach, Mingo Scott, will look to recapture the success of last season and lead Big Bend to the NWAC Tournament. The Vikings got hot at a good time with conference play starting Wednesday.
Big Bend's next game will be Wednesday when they host Wenatchee Valley, who could realistically have the same record as Big Bend at 7-5 by the time they meet next week.
